Directions

Our school is based at The Posey School in Northport, and these directions will get you there. Some of our performances (our full scale performances, not our showcases) are held in The Northport Theater for the Performing Arts, which is just up the street from Posey, at the other end of Main Street.

Simplest Version

Get to downtown Northport, Main Street, the best way you know how. The Posey School of Dance, our location, is a splash from the waterfront, directly on Main Street--number 57--the north side.

From the EAST

From the LIE, use Exit 52, and go NORTH on Commack Road even as it becomes Town Line Road, and finally Bread and Cheese Hollow Road until you arrive at Route 25A, or Fort Salonga Road, one of its many aliases. Go left (WEST) and continue to Main Street, a right hand turn at an intersection filled with choices. Just make sure Pumpernickel's Restaurant is on your left as you veer on to Main Street. Follow it to the Posey School, a splash from the waterfront, north side of the street.

From the WEST

From the LIE, use Exit 49, North, on to Route 110. At Route 25, Jericho Turnpike, your can choose two routes.

The first. Continue north to Route 25A, or East Main Street, Huntington, as it's know there, where you turn RIGHT and stay on 25A as it becomes, finally, Fort Salonga Road. Turn LEFT at Woodbine Avenue, and follow it north to Main Street, Northport, where the Posey School is located just after you turn right from Woodbine on to Main, the north side of the street.

The second. If you do not wish to tangle with a route through downtown Huntington, turn right at Route 25, Jericho Turnpike, and follow it to Larkfield Road in the Elwood/Commack area. Take a left there and head north. After you cross the LIRR tracks in East Northport, at the cemetery take the LEFT FORK, Laurel Avenue, until it ends at Main Street where you turn LEFT and follow it to the Posey School, a splash..., well, you know the rest.
