For those who seek wisteria and sunshine, this 2003 stage adaptation of the 1922 Elizabeth von Arnim novel is a romantic comedy in two acts, set first in a dreary London flat and then at a beautiful seaside villa in Italy.

A tale of loss, hope and renewal, Matthew Barber’s play won the 2003 John Gassner Award for Outstanding New American Play, and the Broadway production was a Tony Award nominee for Best Play.  The 1992 film version starring Alfred Molina and Miranda Richardson garnered a Golden Globe nomination for Best Motion Picture.

With Aimee Berlin, Gerry Glennon, Charlotte Koons, James Bradley, Scott McIntyre, Sinead Atkinson, Alex Rich and Regina Pasqualino, this Bare Bones offering is directed by Christine Nelson and produced by Alex Edwards-Bourdrez.
